Hey, just to let you know, Chump Lady is approaching its second birthday on April 19. And coincidentally, right now we’re teetering shy of just about two million hits. At current projected rates, I’ll hit 2 million sometime in the third week of April. But as a birthday present to this site, I’d like to flip that big odometer on or before Chump Lady’s birthday. Wouldn’t it be cool to say — two years, two million hits?
Can you guys help me with this? Every time you post an article on Facebook, or link to the blog from another support site, it drives traffic here. With a little bit of help from social media, we could hit 2 million in the next week or so.
Crazy thing is, we just hit the million mark in October (at the 18 month mark). Bad news is — the world is full of chumps and the messages here will always be relevant. The good news is — Chump Nation. They don’t have to walk this nightmare alone.

No but I hope to soon. (Dismantling the old one baffles me.) In the middle of an AARP assignment at present. If anyone wants to volunteer for that job — it’s all yours! 🙂

I ‘liked’ you on my FB page and then invited my chumped FB friends to like you too.
I pulled up your post “get over it” and shared it with my Facebook friends. Some I know are chumps “in the closet” and some have told me to “get over it”.
Chump Lady, You should be so proud of that message in your last paragraph: about how the bad news is that the world is full of cheaters but the good news is Chump Nation. You built that yourself, out of your intelligence, compassion, insight, and humor. Of course 2mill can’t help but join in!!! And I have no doubt that you’ll get to that 2 mill, even before your birthday… Congratulations! 🙂

It is forever true that they suck in a uniquely painful way and it’s so nice to feel heard, understood and, most importantly, safe here.

CL, you and Melanie Tonia Evans do STIRLING work exposing what narcissistic abuse is. Everyone thinks it is about being too full of themselves and just don’t see the cruelty and destruction, and what they get away with as everyone assumes ‘normalcy’ and applies ‘fair’ rules of interaction.
I don’t know if you Amurricans are getting any transcripts of the Oscar Pistorius trial, but if you want to learn or believe in the existence of freaks, he is a walking illustration of character disorder – and no, he ‘can’t remember’ either! He will not admit the TINIEST things, and has the prosecutor, Gerrie Nel, chasing him down all sorts of warrens, getting him to own stuff. And that is the stuff before the stuff before the main point.
It is all a bit too close to home. Cut out the violence make him a bit more passive aggressive, I know this guy.
I have to admit his histrionics have made me suspicious of him being a narc who’s trying to gather sympathy for himself.
It’s great to see the following you have gained, Tracy! I remember that you started this blog JUST after my DDay. The maximum number of comments per blogpost was usually in the 30s. Now that happens within 5 minutes of a new blogpost going up. Safety and encouragement in numbers, I say! Thanks for giving us this safe place to vent, feel, share, learn and grow.

By hits, do you mean unique viewers? Or page views? (You’ll up your tech-savvy cred by using one of those terms….much preferred over ‘hits’.)
I use Word Press, jet pack for analytics and it simply says “views” so I assume page views. Hah, I probably have like 20 unique visitors, all who spend ages here reading back through the archives. 🙂 The Austin geeks tell me the numbers are good. I was at BlogathonTX when the blog hit the million mark, which was kind of neat.
Yes, ‘views’ are much better than ‘hits”! Very cool!
I often put links to your blog on FirstWivesWorld.com. I noticed after I started doing that, they started blogging a lot about narcissism.

Thank you for being here CL & thanks to all of you for your comments suggestions that you post both snarky and serious !!. I am humbled by the amount of info I get on my NPD cheating wife as well as tools to cope and deal. Thank you again 🙂
I refer people here in comment sections whenever I read an advice column to do with cheating. I don’t know what else to do. You might look into best practice to raise your google ratings.
Thanks! The google ratings are very good. I’ve got great SEO, first page google hits, sometimes first listing on certain search terms for infidelity. I got advice early on to build my SEO with original content, updated frequently, and the word of mouth links seem to help as well. I also use Thesis, which I’m told also helps with SEO. So I can’t complain really about the numbers. I just have a whim to hit the 2 million mark by April 19 because it’s soooo close.
Congrats on being so close! I promote you like heck to my chump and closeted friends. BTW April 19 is my was-anniversary (sad) and my self-assigned due date for my thesis draft (moving on)
